Rahul Gandhi said that "Congress had no role in the
riots that followed the 1984 Indira Gandhi assassination". The Congress
president did not believe in this innocence of his own party.
Congress Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh, instead
of defending the party by the Shiromani Akali Dal attacks, named four Congress
leaders in the Assembly and said that they were ahead in provoking the riots.
If Rahul Gandhi has given such a clearance about the
anti-Sikh riots of 1984, then no one will have any role in any major incident
of violence, will any party write on his letterhead and instruct the directors
to burn people alive? Will you?
If the Congress had a role, then why did the party apologize,
some people have believed that the idea of celebrating Manmohan Singh as
